about the holiday
The Feast of Lazuline (November 2nd) is one of the six Gallifreyan feast days, specifically the feast day of the Cerulean Chapter. All chapters, however, are encouraged to participate.
It is the feast day of Lazuline, the founder of the Cerulean chapter, and it is dedicated to appreciation of caregivers and nature. Kindness and caring are celebrated on the Feast of Lazuline, and people in caregiver-type roles may be given presents, like nannies and parents, or the Kithriarch/caregivers of a Gallifreyan Great House. It is also customary to go out in nature on the Feast of Lazuline.
The Feast of Lazuline may also be celebrated with an actual feast, ideally including things from nature and possibly including Ginger.

Ritual text written by Healer Isa
Today, we honor the double heartbeat of our People.
The two hearts are a gift that allow us to prosper and endure, and proclaim us as Gallifreyan the Universe over. They allow us to endure more than, to have our bodies be more efficient and strong. We take pride in our two hearts. But while the two hearts give us more endurance, we also acknowledge the more symbolic meaning of possessing two hearts: that while we can work harder, endure more, we also feel more deeply.
On this day above all others, we are reminded that Lady Light, our logic, is balanced and complemented by her sister Lady Pain. We are reminded that Logic and Emotions can not exist without the other, and to ignore one in favor of the other is to deny part of ourselves.
We are reminded, too, that emotions are not always safe or pleasant, that they can be frightening.
We are reminded that in addition to logic, our emotions are balanced by themselves: joy and sorrow, serenity and anger, shame and forgiveness.
On this day
May we remember that logic must be balanced by emotion.
May we remember the strength that our emotions bring us.
May we remember that all emotions, even the painful ones, have merit and purpose.
May we seek to honor our emotions and those of others.
May we seek to allow ourselves to feel more deeply.
To feel joy in our lives.
To take pride in our achievements.
To rage at the injustices we see.
To grieve our losses.
May we never be ashamed for feeling.
May we never be shamed for showing ourselves.
May our hearts never be hidden.
Shadows hide you, stars guide you.
